Try writing posts, not comments
In this post, -b writes about replying to posts:
I wish it would be simpler to talk to bloggers. Not many blogs have a comments section, and if I want to talk about their post, I may have to email them or go onto a different social media platform to do so. I know I don't have a dedicated comments section or guestbook, and perhaps that makes me a hypocrite, but I do wish other blogs had one.
Look all over the web and you'll see that comment sections are rife with problems. They also cause problems for site owners, who have to worry about spam and moderation. Anything that adds complexity, anxiety, or opportunity to tinker is something I want to avoid on this site.
So here's an easy, old-school solution: write your own blog post in response, and link to the original post from yours. When you publish, click the link! When other people read your post, they'll click the link, too. You'll show up as a referrer on the original poster's site analytics. If you want to make double-sure they see your response, send the link via email.
