Geerhouse, new Durham development, reminds me of my first-year project
Spent some time with my friend, Matt, for Oktoberfest. We went to Motorco, which has a new development called Geerhouse next to it. Here's a rendering:
This was wild and cool to see, because in my first year of pre-architecture, I designed an infill project with some similar design language. It was meant for the parking lot at the corner of Griggs and Water Streets in downtown Las Cruces, New Mexico, highlighted in this satellite image. The lot is still empty. Also, I'm glad to see more dense housing go up in Durham.
