Finding cool sites
I wanna thank Dan Hill for including my blog on 100kb, a personal project to surface "articles written by real people with interesting things to say".
There's been a recent resurgence toward old-school blogging. As LLM bots (lumbots?) rip the internet to shreds, people are seeking ways to find the humans. My two main ways:
- Link aggregators: Places like 100kb, Bearblog Discover, Hacker News, Tildes are great for finding articles written by interesting people and, in the case of the last two, insightful comments.
- Blogrolls: Some people keep a list of interesting blogs on their own site. You can do this, too. Curated directories like this were the heart of the early web. I'm going to work on adding a blogroll here. I like them better than haphazard webrings that provide little context for where you'll end up next.
